Do I need a verified account?
Yes — you connect your social accounts when you sign up. That's how Somie confirms your profile is real and matches you with the right offers. It takes about 30 seconds and you're in.
What's the minimum number of followers?
Somie itself has no minimum, and we don't rank people by follower count. Individual businesses can set a follower range on their own offers, so some offers will be out of reach until you grow — but plenty won't be. What we care about is that your audience is local and engaged: a 600-follower account in Brickell is worth more to a Brickell business than a 60,000-follower account in Toronto.
Which platforms does Somie support?
Instagram and TikTok are live today. More platforms are coming soon.
Do I pay creators?
No. The offer itself is the payment — your product, service, or experience. Your subscription is the only cost, and there is no per-post fee, no commission and no media spend.
What if a creator posts something I don’t like?
You approve every creator before they claim an offer, and you set what the post has to include. Creators post in their own voice, so it will not read like an ad you wrote — that is the point, and it is why the posts work. If something breaks the terms you set, report it from the campaign and we review it with you; repeat offenders lose access to the platform. What we will not do is let you require a positive review — the FTC treats that as a deceptive endorsement, and it is the fastest way to lose the trust you are paying for.
Do I have to pay anything to post?
Never. Somie is free if you post. You keep the perk — a meal, a cut, a class — when you share the night out.
How do businesses control who accepts their offer?
Businesses set their own criteria when creating an offer — location, platform, niche, and content quality. Only creators who match those criteria can see and accept the offer.
